Travis grew up in London, KY and graduated from South Laurel High School in 2001. He graduated from University of Kentucky in 2008. Travis chose this career because he's always enjoyed working in a field that has provided him with a rewarding opportunity to support and serve individuals in a hands-on and impactful way!

Through co-parenting two neurodivergent children, I have gained over a decade of hands-on experience in specialized teaching approaches. As I continue to deepen my knowledge of the Orton-Gillingham approach, this foundation further strengthens my ability to support diverse learning needs.

Our therapists use sensory bins daily — and they are easy to put together at home, too! 🏡 You probably already have everything you need in your pantry, but if you want to make a sensory bin with a seasonal twist, a quick visit to your local dollar store will give you tons of inspiration! For babies and toddlers (0–5 years), try filling a shallow bin with: • Dry rice, oats, pasta, or shredded paper • Measuring cups or spoons • Small bowls or scoops • (For older toddlers) pom-poms, small plastic toys, or large, safe objects to find and sort Sensory bins support fine motor skills, early math concepts (scooping, pouring, measuring), language development, and independent play—all while keeping little hands busy 👏 (Just keep an eye on things so that nothing gets swallowed! 👀) Pro tip: Lay down a sheet or shower curtain underneath for easy cleanup! #hoggtherapypediatrics #sensorybin

We were so excited and honored to support Baker Intermediate School’s (@henry.bakerintermediate) DanceBlue mini marathon last week! 💛💙 In the fall, staff member Nicole Hopper met with the principal of the school to collaborate on bringing the University of Kentucky’s honored DanceBlue (@uk_danceblue) tradition to Winchester as a way to raise funds for pediatric cancer and honor local heroes who had battled the disease. Nicole’s daughter, Leorah, is among those heroes. This school year, she celebrates being 5 years cancer-free, which means she is now officially “cured” of cancer 🎉🥰 HTP designed and donated 810 coloring cards for the students at Baker to decorate and write special messages of encouragement for the pediatric patients currently being seen at the UK DanceBlue Hematology/Oncology clinic. 💌 Later this week, Nicole and the Baker principal, Josh Mounts, will be personally delivering the cards to the UK Oncology clinic to bring some extra joy to Kentucky kids fighting cancer.
